Yard Marshall

We are currently recruiting for a confident and reliable Yard Marshall to join a busy automotive operation in Upper Heyford.

Working within a fast-paced vehicle yard, you will be responsible for communicating with the gatehouse, monitoring site traffic and directing incoming car transporters to the correct lanes for unloading.

The Role:

• Communicating with the gatehouse via radio.
• Monitoring traffic entering and moving around the site.
• Directing car transporters to the appropriate truck lanes for vehicle unloading.
• Communicating clearly and patiently with drivers, including those who may not speak English as their first language.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Helping to maintain the safe and efficient movement of vehicles around the site.

The Person:

• Confident and comfortable communicating with a wide range of people.
• Well-spoken, with the ability to give clear instructions and get points across.
• Patient, approachable and professional when dealing with drivers.
• Able to remain calm and organised in a busy working environment.
• Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• No formal qualifications are required, but you must be capable of carrying out the responsibilities of the role.
