Workshop Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join a busy automotive workshop operation in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and previous leadership experience to oversee a team of technicians, manage daily workflow, and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

The Role:

As a Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy workshop and supervising a team of 20+ technicians.
• Allocating work, managing workflow, and ensuring targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Liaising with internal departments to maximise workshop efficiency and output.
• Managing attendance, holidays, performance reviews, and new starter assessments.
• Monitoring operational performance and addressing any issues or breaches.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company policies and procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and professionalism.
• Supporting a positive team culture focused on development and continuous improvement.

The Person:

• Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Team Leader, or similar leadership role.
• Strong background within an automotive or mechanical environment.
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Technical qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2/3 are advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
