Vehicle Technician (Warranty Specialist)

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client's team in Newcastle, specialising in warranty repairs and vehicle maintenance.

Working within a busy automotive workshop, you will be responsible for carrying out warranty-related repairs, servicing and mechanical work, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in line with approved methods and company standards.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Technician, your duties will include:

• Carrying out warranty repairs, recalls and general mechanical repairs.
• Performing servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Inspecting vehicles to identify faults and determine the work required.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical components, including clutches, cam belts and gearboxes.
• Carrying out underbody safety checks.
• Ensuring warranty-related work is completed in line with approved methods and company standards.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring repairs are completed correctly.

The Person:

• Must hold a recognised Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI).
• Demonstrable experience working as a Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with experience of warranty repairs or recall work.
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
