Vehicle Progress Chaser

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Progress Chaser to join a busy automotive operation in Thurleigh. This is a varied role focused on tracking and coordinating vehicle progress through the site, helping to ensure work is completed within required timescales.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and confident communicating with different teams across the operation.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Progress Chaser, your responsibilities will include:

• Tracking and monitoring the progress of vehicles through the repair and preparation process.
• Liaising with workshop teams and other relevant departments to ensure vehicles progress within required timescales.
• Identifying delays or issues and escalating them where required.
• Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate vehicle status records.
• Providing progress updates to relevant teams.
• Assisting with prioritising workloads to meet deadlines and operational targets.
• Carrying out regular checks on vehicles to ensure work is progressing as planned.
• Supporting the smooth flow of vehicles through the site and helping to minimise delays.
• Completing general administration and other duties as required.

The Person:

• Previous experience within an automotive, workshop, logistics or similar operational environment is desirable.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with different teams.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Good IT skills, including confidence using emails and spreadsheets.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
