Vehicle Prepper

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy automotive bodyshop in Livingston. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a Temp to Perm position within a modern workshop, preparing a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards prior to paint.

We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals with previous bodyshop experience, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Prepper, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
• Repairing minor imperfections to ensure a smooth surface finish.
• Removing and refitting vehicle components where required.
• Ensuring all preparation work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
• Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
• Using tools, equipment, and materials safely and effectively.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Working closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are completed on time.

The Person:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper within a bodyshop or accident repair centre is essential.
• Good knowledge of vehicle preparation techniques and repair processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
