Vehicle Inspector

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Inspector to join a busy automotive auction operation in Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and previous vehicle inspection experience to join a fast-paced environment inspecting a wide variety of vehicles prior to auction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle condition, recording damage using a tablet-based inspection system, and producing detailed condition reports.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out detailed inspections on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Inspecting approximately 25-30 vehicles per day
- Assessing vehicle condition and grading vehicles for auction
- Recording damage and condition reports using a tablet-based inspection system
- Producing accurate inspection reports within allocated timescales
- Identifying cosmetic and mechanical defects in line with company standards
- Moving vehicles around site safely when required
- Working efficiently to achieve daily productivity and quality targets
The Person:
- Previous vehicle inspection, appraisal, estimating, or damage assessment experience is essential
- NAMA qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify vehicle damage accurately
- Confident using tablet-based systems and digital inspection software
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
- Must be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes
