PDR Technician (Paintless Dent Removal)

Job Summary:

Salary: £38,000 - £39,000p/a

Igloo are recruiting for an exceptional, PDR Technician to join Cazoo’s fast-growing team in Gloucester, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic PDR Technician to join Cazoo. You will support our production function to ensure the quality of vehicles are in-line with Cazoo’s rigorous retail standards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Removing minor dents from the body of a motor vehicle
  • Repair of door dings and minor creases
  • Repair large dents and bodylines damage
  • To prepare a damaged panel for repainting by minimizing the use of body filler
  • Using "push to paint" or "push to prep" techniques
  • Dent Repair (PDR) on panels
  • Using specially designed tools to remove small to medium sized dents
  • Polish any blemishes left behind
  • Check own work to ensure quality finish at all times
  • Touching in small chips when required to high standard
  • Use the electronic management system for accurate recording of work assigned
  • Consistently utilise all required safety equipment and P.P.E.
  • Ensure you and team members adhere to all requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal
  • Carry out regular checks on tools and equipment to ensure safe operational use
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • Attend Company arranged medicals and follow all necessary guidance given or provided
  • Report any deterioration in health or vision to you Manager without delay

Required skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualification i.e. ATA, NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of vehicle refurbishment/body repair processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued learning by participating in on-going training and any other industry related training requirements
  • Able to meet targets and deadline
  • Comply with Health and Safety requirements and legislation
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all members of staff
  • Willingness to travel to other Company sites as required
