We are currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive operation in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to work on a wide variety of vehicles, carrying out servicing, repairs, and heavy mechanical work within a modern workshop environment.
The Role:
As a Level 3 Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out full PDI inspections and vehicle servicing
- Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs
- Replacing timing chains, wet belts, cambelts, and clutches
- Undertaking heavy mechanical repairs where required
- Working on all makes and models of vehicles
- Identifying and reporting any additional faults
- Ensuring all work is completed to company quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
The Person:
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is essential
- Proven experience carrying out heavy mechanical repairs
- Confident replacing timing chains, wet belts, cambelts, and clutches
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work efficiently under your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
- Reliable with excellent attention to detail
