Cosmetic Vehicle Inspector

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cosmetic Vehicle Inspector to join a busy automotive operation in Rochester. This role is key to ensuring vehicles meet the required standards before moving through the next stage of the preparation process.

The Role:

As a Cosmetic Vehicle Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out initial cosmetic inspections on newly arrived vehicles.
• Identifying and recording any damage, paint defects or missing items.
• Using handheld tablets and internal systems to accurately record inspection findings.
• Completing documentation to support repair estimates and workshop requirements.
• Working to set productivity targets and turnaround times.
• Liaising with the workshop and bodyshop teams to ensure an efficient vehicle flow.
• Ensuring all inspections are completed in line with company and manufacturer standards.
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

The Person:

• Previous experience in a Vehicle Inspector, Cosmetic Inspector or similar automotive role.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Able to work independently and make informed decisions where required.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
