Inspection Guidelines
Starting at the bonnet, lift the bonnet to check for any undisclosed damage, broken headlamps, front panel, radiators etc.
Inspect the vehicle from a distance that will allow good detection of all damages / defects large and small. Use body lining techniques to identify dents within the panels. View the roof area from all 4 corners of the vehicle to ensure dents are captured. Ensure that sill areas and lower parts of front and rear bumpers are also fully inspected.
Work methodically anti clockwise check all panels for damage.
Once the inspection has been completed; but before it has been submitted walk the vehicle again in the opposite direction from 2m.
This will allow the opportunity to;
1.Identify any damage missed.
2.Allow for the damage found to be confirmed and correctly classified.

This is the same process as checking from the fron. Inspect this side of the roof in 3 directions;

If the vehicle has a sunroof or panroof fitted check both the glass and surround.

Once the inspection has been completed on this side of the vehicle repeat the process in reverse on the other side. Be sure to cover all the areas in the same manner. Your end point should be next to you start point. If each vehicle is inspected in the same manner each time then damage detection will increase and damage claims will decrease.
