Manheim Auctions Site Rules

1. Maximum speed limit …10 MPH outside of buildings, …5 MPH inside buildings including under canopies – but always drives to the surrounding conditions.
   
   
2. Use designated traffic routes. Follow direction signs at all times.
   
   
3. Do not obstruct traffic routes or park illegally.
   
   
4. Always use “Hazard warning lights” when moving vehicles even on non-sale days.
   
   
5. Do not use mobile phones or smoke when driving in any vehicle.
   
   
6. All staff are to wear Hi-Viz Clothing at all times outside of the building.
   
   
7. Report any vehicle defect especially if likely to cause the vehicle to be unsafe to drive, to your Supervisor or Manager.
   
   
8. Avoid reversing vehicles, wherever practicable.
   
   
9. Report ANY unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Manager i.e. Potholes, damage to buildings, compound, lights, etc. on a Near Miss Form.
   
   
10. Only authorised and trained staff is to dispense and retrieve fuel or use battery jump-starting equipment.
    
    
11. Never try to push a Non-Runner; if this task cannot be avoided then the situation should be done under controlled conditions after assessing the risks first.
    
    
12. Non- Runners are not to be taken into the auction halls.
    
    
13. All PPE is to be worn at all times when carrying out tasks if it so requires it.
    
    
14. Abide by the Company H&S Policy at all times. This Policy is held by the H&S Co-ordinator if required along with all Risk Assessments and Safe Working Procedures.
    
    
15. If in any doubt about the H&S to anyone or potential damage to buildings or vehicles, you should contact your Line Manager Immediately.
    
    
16. Adhere to the NO SMOKING POLICY except for designated areas.
